Carlo Tamborini was born in Milan, Italy.
After attending European Institute of Design (IED) In Milan, in 1993 he started working as a freelancer designing interiors, exhibition systems and packaging projects.
He collaborated with a number of architectural studios and in 1997 he joined the Lissoni Associati Studio in Milan where he is currently the Design Manager.
In 1998 he co-founded the group Codice 31 and from 1999 onwards, he has been designing lights and interior furnishings for Fontana Arte, Kartell, Pallucco, GlasItalia, RAAT Lighting, Diamantini & Domeniconi, MOS, Cover and Coro.
The collaboration with Porro started in 2018 with the design of Gap hanging bookcase.
