Sustainable architecture meets Porro design in the apartment curated by GhiroldiDesign Mantova in the Vertical Forest, the innovative model for a sustainable residential building designed by Stefano Boeri Architects in Milan’s city centre, promoting the concept of vertical densification of nature within the city in relation to policies for reforestation and naturalization of large urban and metropolitan borders.
Porro, with a rich choice in its home furnishing and contract proposals and the important presence of its systems, is among the protagonists of the interiors design: a rarefied space where wardrobes and containers are perfectly integrated through the use of the same white color of the walls or of precious wooden essences recalling the floor in teak, and where the pieces of furniture become the decorative elements.
An important Load-it composition in white lacquer and mirror welcomes in the entrance.
In the living area, the suspended shelf and Flag panel in mongoi and the matt white board of the Modern system of containers are matched with the white lacquered wall panels and shelves of the Load-it bookcase, creating a large equipped wall for books and television.
The dressing room is instead the realm of Storage, Porro’s system of wardrobes, open wardrobes and walk-in closets. In order to contain all clothes in perfect order in the hallway and in the entrance, Storage wardrobe is shown with white moon lacquered hinged doors, while the walk-in closet, presented in a wide corner composition in mongoi finishing, creates a secret room.
Some of the icon products drawn by Piero Lissoni for the company over the years complete the scene: 8 Neve armchairs in black stained ash with leather seat furnishing the dining room, the Sidewall horizontal bookcases and a Offshore bedside table in seta matt colour.
