    Porro con Salone del Mobile.Milano alla Westbund Art&Design Fair di Shanghai

    Porro flies to Shanghai for the second stage of the international promotion tour for Salone del Mobile 2025: Materic Ovale and Romby armchair chosen for the installation by artist Matilde Cassani, hosted  in the recently opened futuristic venue The Orbit, designed by architect Thomas Heatherwick.

    Event "Italian visionaries. Mario Cucinella and Maria Porro at the forefront of global design" at ICI London

    On the occasion of London Design Festival, on September 18th at 6.30 pm at the ICI London Maria Porro, head of marketing and communication at Porro S.p.A. and President of Salone del Mobile.Milano, will discuss innovation and sustainability in contemporary Italian design and architecture with Mario Cucinella, Founder & Design Director of Mario Cucinella Architects, the firm that designed the Italian Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka.     Porro @ Lake Como Design Festival/The form of lightness

    Porro is participating in the sixth edition of the Lake Como Design Festival, scheduled from September 15 to 22, 2024, in the city of Como and around its lake, with lightness as its guiding theme.
    The Spindle chair, made from ultra-thin cross-section chromed harmonic steel, has been selected for the collective exhibition "The Form of Lightness”, showcasing a selection of different chairs, starting from examples of bentwood from the early 20th century, passing through the Bauhaus and Rationalism schools, the material experimentation of the 1960s and 1970s, up to the latest contemporary creations.
    Representative of the 2000s, Spindle embodies the quest for extreme lightness in both design and material pursued by its designer, Piero Lissoni, highlighted by the "shells" of the seat and backrest, made of curved wood.
