Porro reaffirms and strengthens the cooperation with LUMINAIRE, the celebrated American design multibrand retailer founded in Miami by Nasir and Nargis Kassamali in 1974 that  throughout the years has been consistently recognized for the commitment to promoting avant-garde European brands in USA.
Opened in November 2018, the new Luminaire Los Angeles showroom in the West Hollywood neighborhood is designed by in-house architects and local firm MAKE as a large loft spanning an area of 6.000 square meters: a distinctly contemporary architecture filled with natural light through large windows and skylights perfectly blending with this vibrant city, featuring Porro’s systems and collection.
Holding one’s clothes and giving life to a secret room in the home, the Storage Dressing Room by Piero Lissoni + Porro Research Centre is shown in a large cenere hemlock angular composition: it alternates the shoe rack with bright inclined shelves, open modules and modules closed by Block doors in transparent glass, leaving the interiors visible. At the center of the wardrobe, the Hub central drawer unit by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti offers wooden and glass drawers with a sit-bench solution in saddle leather: a place where to calmly contemplate the wardrobe, the heart of the home and a must-have among Porro’s offerings.
A storage solution with high aesthetic impact in the living room, halfway between a bookshelf and a container, the Modern + Load-it composition, designby Piero Lissoni and Wolfgang Tolk, combines Load-it wall-mounted steel shelves and wall panels with Modern hanging containers in eucalyptus and heat treated elm and full-length base in eucalyptus with giallo mustard lacquered interiors.
The eye is attracted by Ex-Libris, the freestanding showcase by Piero Lissoni with a precious touch and look, designed to store and display rich collections.
The set up includes Porro’s complements, such as 3Table small table by Front consisting of 3 different tops that can revolve on themselves, complying with any space requirement, and the Reflection mirror by Piero Lissoni, with a bronze satined, painted metal frame.
From the architectural imprinting of the systems, to the finest craftsmanship of the collections, the Luminaire Los Angeles showroom aims at attracting the sophisticated luxury customers, as well as the world of architects, who can choose from a wide, varied range of off-the-shelf products and at the same time rely on Porro’s inclination towards bespoke service.
