A bench+consolle collection created in collaboration with designer Nao Tamura, who draws inspiration from Japanese culture to create furniture with minimalist geometry and pop art influence.
The structure of Origata is made of 6 mm thick aluminium sheet, which is cut, folded and assembled through a special joint that maximises the use of the material and is inspired by the art of making kimonos, where the fabric is cut in straight lines and then sewn together to avoid waste.
There are two versions of Origata: the bench with or without cushion, available in a width of 2 m, and the consolle, available in a width of 142 cm. Both versions can be customised with all Porro glossy colors, including the new color arancio siena.
Origata’s cushion is removable (the cover is not removable) thanks to a textile loop applied to the structure by a metal rod: a simple and refined detail that reflects the philosophy of the project.
