Showroom Porro duriniquindici, via Durini 15
Installation: Piero Lissoni. Styling: Elisa Ossino.
Dreamy environments, bouquet decorations and sartorial details: changing the finishings and playing with styles, Porro’s home 2017 sets out to astonish visitors at FuoriSalone with its unexpected romantic mood. Earthy colours, fabrics flourishing inside wardrobes and on the walls, unusual combinations: the two floors of Milan’s showroom in via Durini, which are once again exclusively dedicated to the brand, offer twice as many ideas, letting Porro unveil some yet-to-be-explored parts of itself, playing with the finishings of its amazing palette. The result of a unique material research in the field, Porro’s collection of samples includes a range of mixed and eclectic possibilities to pair or to play with, for newer and newer suggestions.
At one with a new look which aims at daring and experimenting colours, the central living setting revolves around the Ferro table in “antico” red, a metal finishing with a sense of deepness and brightness, sitting comfortably on the soft but generous new Kite armchairs by GamFratesi, with black painted stainless-steel rod structure and a two-coloured covering matching fabric and leather. Recalls retro, Modernism-inspired settings, a Boutique Mast composition for the day area with wide thin steel shelves and rosewood hanging modules. Double presence for the new low Gallery sideboard, with a single, black stained hemlock door which slides down, revealing an enlightened mirror backdrop: a strong yet refined sculptural project with great visual pureness. Along the whole length of the opposite wall, is the System bookcase in “barrique” oak, the new essence with warm grey tones, which is given rhythm by the new blu denim lacquered vertical Lift sliding doors and by the transparent glass doors which stand out on the blu reale back-painted crystal back panels.
The new Materic table emerges in the space of the dining room, characterized by the rich copper highlights of the dark green marble top, and the intense dark of the solid black stained ash base, tapered with a delicate wedge design recalls the columns of the Greek temples. The Load-It bookcase in the new “porfido” grey finishing is presented as a recess, completely inserted in the wall, a play of combinations for ever-changing atmospheres.
In the dining room of the lower floor, the pureness of the white Ellipse Table by Front in Dulver®, is coordinated with the new padded Pioggia chair by Piero Lissoni, with streamlined solid ash legs and a soft covering that perfectly suits the seat and the armrests, covering them.
A dark grey setting entirely reserved to the Storage walk-in closet, exposed for the first time with eucalipto melamine equipments: by mixing up several solutions and accessories - the enlightened shoe racks, the change of depth, roomier angular modules – it confirms Porro’s great skills in furnishing environments, distributing shapes and ensuring the perfect functionality to all projects.
To work from home, a small room, painted dark-grey, is equipped with Web multipurpose supporting surface in canaletto walnut, enlivened by the orange covering of Draped Chair, the ultra-feminine armchair as delicate as a drape.
The grigio seta painted wall recesses include 3 Hinged Storage wardrobes with 32s, high thickness, 180° openable doors, with the Clip burnished brass handle. Large surfaces lacquered in a warm grey, open to reveal a surprise: interiors embellished by ecru fabric, with meticulously hand-drawn poppies for a tidy and essential natural setting, and by an old style flowered fabric, with beige and Bourgogne shades.
A new interpretation of domestic warmth that is a cross between rationality and sensuality, the new Makura textile bed is presented in light blue tones, lightly suspended with its welcoming and inviting form that ends in a light volute, balances by the System bookcase in Canaletto walnut with 6 hinged crystal doors, which allow grey fabric backdrops to be half-seen.
Two symmetrical spaces with a graphic and Japanese mood, unveil the Hinged Storage wardrobe in an airy, precious version with crystal sides, see-through burnished brass Iron crystal doors and transparent enlightened shelves. The “carbone” oak internal structure stands out for its contrast with the soft printed fabric of the backs, with the black&white painted flower motif, which mixes abstraction and nature’s poetic vision. Two Ex Libris bookcases, used for the first time as precious cases for bags and objects in a sleeping area, showing their versatility, make up a crystal passageway: the dressing room on the right, completed by the mirror Reflection and by two transparent crystal Acquario central drawer unit with a burnished brass contour, is separated from the actual bedroom on the left.
