La Casa dell'Architetto (The Architect's House) is a visual and material installation showcasing the careful selection of furnishing and decorative elements from 22 Italian and international companies, including Porro. The aim of the exhibition is to recreate a personal home inside the GAM. Among the rooms that date back to the end of the 18th century, Francesco Rota has imagined the setting up of a series of personal rooms, created to illustrate his vision of living, giving shape to the all-Italian sensitivity towards spaces, materials and details, representing the best of Made in Italy production. In this context, the Storage wardrobe designed by Piero Lissoni for Porro fits perfectly, acting as a divider between the bed and bathroom areas, redefining the very concept of wardrobe. In fact, the modular system allows infinite compositions to be created, easily adapting to the space in which it is placed. A three-dimensional extension of the magazine, not only visitable, but crossable in style and almost 'liveable' for those who enter this Milanese concept-home. The site-specific installation curated by architect Francesco Rota with the participation of netsuke studio for Marie Claire Maison, showcases to the international Design Week audience in one of Milan's most beautiful historic buildings, the elegance of contemporary design, of which Porro is an eminent ambassador.
