Maggio chest of drawers – Loop Mirror
Created for storing everyday clothing is the narrow and elongated amusing Maggio chest of drawers crowned with a mirror, featuring an inlaid front, a diamond-shaped section, 2 pullout trays and 6 large drawers. It is created with an inlaid design on the front, achieved by combining three different types of wood – elm, oak and acacia – according to abstract geometric compositions that meld the points of the triangle with the curved contours of the circle in unexpected directions. Each product is carefully crafted, signed and numbered, creating a small series of exquisite and collectible furniture.
The mirror hanging on the wall is Loop Mirror, a contemporary reinterpretation of the art of carving. Loop Mirror is a true wooden sculpture, a precious object in which one can reflect oneself and which one can contemplate, rendered unique by the small imperfections of handcrafting which lends it value. Its wooden frame in black matt lacquered is knotted to create a loop, a protruding shelf which becomes a refined decorative detail, tracing in the space the symbol of infinity.
