In an architectural perimeter, light and permeable, made up of a sequence of black stained aged maple slats that create an intensely rhythmic vertical texture, Piero Lissoni presents his interpretation of the 2014 Porro home: a large villa with a tropical atmosphere, where primary colors, along with all of the chromatic vitality of the wood and the lush plants lay the foundations, bursting forth with intense notes of elegance, sophistication and relaxation.
In the first dining room setting, the new Galileo table by Piero Lissoni makes its debut, featuring organic contours in heat treated ash thanks to its solid wood table top supported by four thick tapered legs. In the background System, the modular system with the typical open shelving making it a unique furnishing proposal for the house and the office here, displays firsthand all of the colors and textures of the Porro’s new wooden essences, while on the right-hand wall, 2 new Modern cupboards, raised up on a continuous base, play upon the geometric construction of open elements with rosso cina and blu reale lacquered backs and closed volumes in three of the new wooden essences.
The study area shows the new Papier wall by GabrielPolloni Associati and Piero Lissoni in heat treated tanne, a tactile continuous material surface, flexible and customizable, that can be interspersed with hinged doors to connect different spaces.
Full-length made-to-measure Shift sliding doors in heat treated tanne, transform the first dressing room into a separate space, an inviting “chamber of desire”. Inside, the Boiserie Storage is presented in the new “lino” melamine finishing, a solution halfway between the walk-in closet and the open wardrobe. The square Schermo cupboard by Alessandro Mendini with an inlaid design achieved by combining 3 different types of wood according to abstract geometric compositions goes with the new Bellevue mirror by Soda Des/gners that rotates, giving diverse perspectives and refractions of reflected images, in order to observe the world from new points of view.
In the bedroom, the new Taiko bed by Piero Lissoni is the star: with its constant and welcoming volume in the warm notes and golden blonde color of the heat treated elm, and the trusted Butler cylindrical wooden bedside table. Created for storing everyday clothing is the narrow and elongated amusing Maggio chest of drawers, featuring an inlaid front, with a diamond-shaped section and crowned with a mirror, next to the Loop Mirror, contemporary reinterpretation of the art of carving, with its wooden frame knotted to create a loop, a protruding shelf which becomes a refined decorative detail, tracing in the space the symbol of infinity.
To create a secret room for your clothes, the second dressing room is presented in a large horseshoe-shaped composition, in the expressive finishing of mongoi. In its centre, the new Acquario drawer unit, made in transparent glass with metal profiles, divided in 3 shelves and customizable with wooden trays which leave the contents visible, in order to store them in perfect order and then extract them with ease.
The second dining room area displays the new Ipe table, esthetically-raw, with a glass top and black painted iron U-shaped legs.
In conclusion, the inviting living area offers a Modern + Load-It composition combining the wall panels and the steel shelves of the full-length Load-It bookcase with the boards and the hanging elements of Modern, creating ample equipped surfaces on the wall, with flashes of color alternated to wooden essences, in order to live in color.
