Finest Italian design and craftsmanship perfection: Porro lands in the heart of Stuttgart in the new showroom of Behr, the historical German furniture shop active since the ‘20s.
Next to the wide store in Wendlingen am Neckar near the airport, Behr doubles its visibility with a new venue in the city center, where day and night settings are characterized by the high quality of Porro’s systems and collections. Pure shapes warmed by the chromatic vitality of the 18 Porro woods, giving off intense notes of elegance, refinement and relaxation.
The protagonist of the first living area is the geometric pattern of a Modern + Load-it composition, design Piero Lissoni + Wolfgang Tolk. A scenographic mix between bookcase, container and display unit, it combines Load-it steel shelves and wall panels with two Modern hanging containers in heat-treated elm and heat-treated oak with Rosso cina interiors. An equipped surface on the wall, with flashes of color alternated to wooden essences, in order to live in color.
Enclosed by glass doors with Iron frame, Ex-Libris designed by Piero Lissoni is a precious self-standing glass cabinet at the sight and touch as well, separating the second living area from the dining room, dominated by the sculptural forms of the black painted Metallico table by Piero Lissoni, characterized by lightness of its top and legs, made of a 12 mm-thick solid aluminium sheet.
Designed to contain plates and glasses, the Gallery Low Sideboard by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti has a single horizontal black stained hemlock door, which slides down, revealing giallo mustard lacquered interiors standing out on an enlightened mirror backdrop. Daring colors contrasting with the classic preciousness of the Sahara Noir marble top with its white-rust veins on the black base, which make it a treasure chest/display case for precious possessions: the most beautiful glasses, rare bottles, and prized whiskeys.
The night area is the undisputed realm of Storage, the system of wardrobes, open wardrobes and walk-in closets designed by Piero Lissoni + Porro Research Centre, which composes refined settings.
The Hinged Storage wardrobe dons eucalyptus 32S consistently thick doors in canaletto walnut with the impeccably Clip burnished brass handles and precious grey fabric covered back panels, providing pleasant tactile sensations. The wardrobe is presented in a personalized version, as a room divider, with special back and side coverings in Canaletto veneer.
Rich materials add visual interest to the simple structure of the Storage walk-in closet next to the bed, presented in “carbone” oak with coordinated black lacquered uprights.
