The exhibit dedicated by Luminaire Chicago to the internationally-renowned architect and designer Piero Lissoni features some of his creations for Porro.
During the years Piero Lissoni has contributed to create the brand’s unique image, both for the products and the showrooms, made of essential, simple and elegant furniture elements. As main interpreter of Porro design, year after year he has studied new eye-catching compositions of the company’s three systems - Modern day system of containers and suspended tops, Storage system of wardrobes, open wardrobes and walk-in closets and System day system of bookcases and equipped walls – and revamped the codes of esthetics for the living area and sleeping area enriching the brand’s collection with new products. He designed some of the company’s iconic pieces like Storage Air self-bearing walk-in closet, Reflection Mirror with a bronze satined painted metal frame, Tiller sideboard - the special hinged doors of which can open up on top of each other pleasantly changing the front’s design – Spindle chair and Boxes chest of drawers.
All these systems and products are exhibited inside Luminaire showroom for the whole duration of the exhibit, together with the brand-new table Ipe, just launched at Salone del Mobile in Milan. Functional, technological, multi-purpose, Ipe is the new esthetically-raw Porro table, with a glass top and black varnished iron U-shaped legs. An austere and industrial silhouette with a quirk: the inside of the legs is in rust color, a secret ingredient, designed to impress.
