ELLE DECORATION international network selected Porro as one of the 2012 winners of the prestigious EDIDA (Elle Decoration International Design Award).
Voted for by the 25 editors-in-chief of ELLE DECORATION around the world, the EDIDA recognizes global excellence in the interior design world in 13 categories.
Porro was selected as the winner in the Bedding category for Shin by Piero Lissoni, a bed with a thin wood frame, fitted on the front and on the back with two small metal tubular rails, the headboard and the footboard. A minimum design recovering memories of the bed archetype, renewed according to Piero Lissoni and Porro beauty philosophy. Accurate finishes, such as black-stained ash for the frame and black painted metal, absolute proportions and soft leather cushions to have sweet dreams.
The prize-giving ceremony will take place on April 19th and will be particularly important as it will also celebrate EDIDA’s 10th anniversary.
