Porro 2011 novelties signed by Piero Lissoni

For Modern— the system of worktops, units and shelves for the living areas— Piero Lissoni has conceived compositions whose volumes are cadenced by color, dimensional interplays, juxtapositions of materials, alternation of space and solids to make contemporary living spaces richer and more delightful.
For 2011, Modern plunges into the color, to show all the expressive possibilities of Porro new palette, debuting at Salone. It will be completely revised by increasing the number of colors from 18 to 24 and introducing 16 new vibrant nuances, from the warm and cold greys, to a series of soft tones, up to the brightest hues of fuchsia, yellow, blue, acid green, enhancing with pigments the purified geometries of the company’s proposals.
In the centre , the new backdrop, a monochromatic wall picture to be used as a paper to play with volumes.

A baseboard with drop leaf door to store media equipments is leaned to a backpanel enlivened by shelves and surfaces : a grey total look with the new sliding door running along the whole composition. Suspended unit in the new height H. 300 mm, that communicates Energy with its yellow colour. Shelves are available in two thicknesses.

The intense blue of the baseboard contrasts with the visual softness of the light grey usedf for ne paneling system, where suspended shelf, hanging unit and shelf of the same colour are fixed.

Indecipherable borders, rarefied geometries and whispered ambiances define Immaterial House, imagined by Piero Lissoni, with the collaboration of Elisa Ossino, inside Porro duriniquindici showroom.
It derives from a new knowing glance between the Milanese brand and its leading designer, chosen as art director in 1989 and undisputed master of the lightness in design, of a minimalist approach which prefers the successive subtraction of weight and matter to obtain creations where quality, aesthetic pleasantness, proportions can be breathed in every single detail, the installation intended to refresh like a light wind blow, like a day-dream, the eventful Milanese design week.
Inside stylized ambiances, a rarefied melody of objects mixing Porro icons and 2011 novelties, to suggest that just a few pieces, with strong personality, are sufficient to convey a warm feeling of home…
