In a setting with faint colors with ochre, yellow and light blue highlights, the 2018 Porro home designed by art director Piero Lissoni at Salone del Mobile. Milano Shanghai, combines pure forms with refined wooden essences, shiny metals and fabrics, emanating an unmistakable mix of sobriety, elegance and savoir-faire.
The dining room with its strong personality places the Jeff table by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti on stage with its streamlined solid chestnut top suspended on curvilinear polished blue pigmented aluminium bases, as well as the new Frank chairs by Piero Lissoni with their soft shell-shaped body covered in blue velvet with tapered metal legs. To hold dishes, glasses and precious objects, a large Modern composition combines a transparent display case with avorio interiors and enlightened shelves and a long sideboard in eucalyptus resting on 20 cm. high T-shaped feet, with a sahara marble top and new silver-plated ring handles.
The night area is delimited by the Ex-Libris bookcase-showcase by Piero Lissoni with its glass doors with Iron profile which transform it into a very refined glass box.
Around the Palladio coffee tables by GamFratesi with their marble surfaces, paired in an interplay of shapes and colors, one can comfortably sit on the Kite armchair by GamFratesi with its black matt varnished metal structure and ochre velvet covering, with an evergreen look and timeless charm, conceived to reside as much in a period lodging as much as in the lobby of a luxury hotel.
The Makura bed by Piero Lissoni is the protagonist of the bedroom with its slightly suspended shape in ecru colored linen fabric, accompanied by avorio lacquered Hub bedside tables by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti with calacatta oro marble covering top.
The Hinged Storage closet designed by Piero Lissoni + Porro research centre dons tortora lacquered 32S doors with the new metal built-in handle covered in black leather, which narrates the meticulous attention Porro pays to every small detail. The setting ends with a Modern Flag composition: a shiny light blue floor base which can be opened with drop-leaf doors or closed to create a theatrical platform, supporting a Flag TV panel for flat screens in pale moon, an essence with striated accents for rich and expressive environments which can rotate by 180º, adjusting the position of the television according to the viewer’s point of view.
To hold one’s own clothes, giving life to a secret room in the home, the Storage Dressing Room is shown in a total eucalyptus look, a highly expressive dark brown finish. Declined in a large corner composition, it alternates modules closed by smoke millimetrato glass Iron doors with burnished brass profile and open modules embellished with tortora ecoleather covered backs, for pleasant tactile sensations. At the center of the wardrobe, the Hub free-standing unit by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti in pale moon essence alternate wooden drawers and the bench solution in ecru leather with a chest of drawers to enable one to sit and contemplate one’s wardrobe, the heart of the home and a must have of the Porro offering.
