Homework by Porro makes its debut in the showcase at Spichernraum

To coincide with Orgatec 2006, the showcase of Spichernraum, the Porro-Living Divani shop in Cologne, stages a captivating and innovative working environment.
It is one of the countless compositions of Homework, the new Porro collection designed by Piero Lissoni and dedicated to the office, which adapts products created for a domestic use to working or management environments.

Homework is a selection of products for those who want to take the aesthetics, warmth and comfort of the home environment into the workplace.
For those who see their jobs as an integral part of their lives and do not separate the two moments in their minds.
For those who live the working environment with the same intimacy as they live in their own home, establishing a close bond with every object they choose to furnish, enrich and personalise the spaces.
The Homework project has been created for those who - in everyday life, and so also in the office - give precedence to relations between people, interaction and discussion.
That is why Homework favours discreet furnishings and light structures, which define individual spaces while avoiding clearcut separations: encouraging interpersonal relationships and making the working day more pleasant and serene.

HT work, the result of the transformation of the HT system conceived for the home, is the element that is the protagonist of the collection.
An elegant black anodised aluminium structure that alternates open spaces and closed containers and with a wider pitch, it is carefully studied to accommodate suspension files and folders.
At Cologne HT Work is presented in an innovative two-sided composition with writing tops incorporated, placing workstations on two sides against opaque black Modern containers, intelligently exploiting the spaces.
Now Modern, the Porro system generated from the repetition of a square module in space, also joins Homework with a substantial innovation: though maintaining the body and doors of the home version, it is in fact fitted with a new shelf made of folded plate, more suited to housing suspension files.

A proposal for the executive office, it is built by combining the wall version of HT work, which is airy and light also thanks to the use of transparent glass sides, with elegant Spindle black leather seats and the P.04 carbone oak desk.
For the more important management environments and meeting rooms, P.04 comes with 6 legs, giving rise to the new model, P.06, which reaches the extraordinary length of 4m.

Placed together in multiple combinations, meeting the demands of the most diverse spaces and uses, Homework products only build the skeleton of a new type of more pleasant and relaxing work environment: an environment that can be completed and made even more informal by the pieces of the other Porro collections. In this case, the Origamibook wall-mounted bookcase, made of polished aluminium plate and the Reflection mirror with painted bronze structure, used to complete the space and at the same time to dilate it visually through the reflection.
