New Porro showcase a Shangai At Balan Showroom

20.10.11

From the end of September, Porro can count on a new prestigious showcase in China.
The new Balan showroom in Shanghai bets on Porro and Living Divani for its exhibition space, the two Italian companies with the elegant, minimalist and rational style and whose products are complementary and which melt together are capable of satisfying today’s multiple home furnishing requirements with harmonious language.

A first office ambiance proposes System bookcase in hemlock with glass door with Iron profile, the Fractal table with white base and transparent crystal top, Conch armchairs on a rotating metal base and the office drawer unit, part of the Homework collection.

The dining room plays on the black and white contrast of Conch armchairs in black fabric on a fixed structure, Black and White cupboard in black with white drawings, the Fractal table with white structure and marble top.

The materiality of wood is instead protagonist in the dining room which proposes Minimo table in black stained hemlock, Neve chairs in white stained ash, Shadow Light suspension lamp and Modern red cupboard with “small” doors.

The Neve chair is also proposed in black stained ash, and comes together with Black and White cupboard in white with black drawings.

In the living room, a Modern composition with suspended top in hemlock and grey base is illuminated by Shadow Light floor lamp, while in the bedroom lives Boxes chest of drawers in back-painted white crystal.

The setting is completed by 3 different compositions of the multifunctional and eclectic System, which can be used as a bookcase, a module for electronic media, an office area, or even as an element to divide rooms and create equipped walls. The first one is a multifunctional composition in black stained hemlock, composed by open shelvings and elements closed by sabbia coloured doors. A section on the right is reserved to TV and HI-FI components, equipped with a storage unit for CDs and DVDs, ideal for contemporary living rooms. The second one is a wall composition creating a working area fitted out with open shelvings for books, back panels and a desk-top in hemlock, and structure, doors and drawers in avorio finishing. Finally the last one is a bookcase characterized by a vertical design with overlapping shelves, which renew its image, focussing on an attractive and dynamic asymmetry.

These are the products, formally consistently different but sharing the same formal elegance, geometrical shapes and functions which Porro selected to be present in China: a business card stressing creativity and technical expertise, to be present on a widely growing market, more and more sensitive to living quality values typical of the Italian design.
