On the occasion of the 20th Biennial of Design in Courtrai, Porro present themselves to the Belgian public through a stand of 200 m2 with design excellence and Italianness as the watchwords, projected by Piero Lissoni.
A shiny transparent PVC shell contains a flexible, captivating living environment, where the day and night zones are placed together in a fluid manner, without physical separations.
It is Storage, the system of wardrobes and cabinets, that dominates the night zone, presented with Lipla, the fabric bed with light lines designed by Jean Marie Massaud, Modern wood night tables lacquered in mustard yellow and the Unité D. chest of drawers lacquered safari grey.
Along with the bedroom, an important day zone combines sofas and seats with a composition of Modern, with spring green and polished white wall units.
The mars orange of the wall units, that become a kind of calling card for the company, and the mud colour for the closed spaces on the floor, dominate a spacious, informal relaxation area, where you can experience the home environment with greater freedom.
The wardrobe system made of Mongoy wood with transparent drawers, so large and elegant as to become a room to live in its own right, screens the various parts of the house visually.
Finally, an ordered and functional study zone is created by combining Spindle seats with the new P.06 lacquered white table, which reaches the extraordinary length of 4 m.
The context is completed by the System NXT bookcase, presented in Mongoy wood with new pitch specially studied for office use, and by a composition of HT work with a black anodised aluminium structure that alternates open and closed spaces.
The various rooms are illuminated scenographically by Porro lamps, a hand-made cascade of glass, available in the transparent version or, for an even more unusual effect, painted black.
