“La casa di Porro” featured in Moscow
HALL 7
STAND H20 – L19
From 12 to 15 October 2006 “la Casa di Porro” is to be featured in Moscow.
Porro present their latest innovations and the most representative pieces of their collections for the Moscow edition of “Trade Shows WorldWide”, conceived to take a selection from the Milan Furniture Show abroad.
The decision to support this initiative enthusiastically reveals once again the special attention that Porro pay to the Russian market, where they have been present for over 10 years now, thanks to an active collaboration with the main contemporary furnishing shops in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Ekaterinburg.
At a stand where the neutral colour of floors and walls brings out the rigour of the forms and the precious finishes, prevalently carbone oak, Porro propose a complete and pleasant home environment.
A bedroom, a passage and a living area follow each other seamlessly according to a progressive and linear development.
The protagonists of the presentation are mainly the systems, which are capable of defining an environment thanks to their strong presence. In the bedroom, in the foreground is Storage, the system of wardrobes and cabinets through which Porro fully express their personality and with which they take their rightful place in the marketplace as the leader company in the sector of complex systems.
The main revision in Storage for 2006 has been in the details: from new extra-thick doors to transparent glass drawers that enable their contents to be seen perfectly, to the particular trunk effect variant in which all the internal metal parts are covered in natural Mongoy wood, transmitting the typical warmth of a piece of antique furniture.
These are small but continual changes, which update this product, giving it the quality and technology that make it unique and always up-to-date in its field.
Presented in the elegant finish that contrasts carbone oak and white lacquer, Storage furnishes the bedroom together with Lipla, the bed with light lines designed by Jean Marie Massaud, enveloped in an elegant brown leather covering that highlights its pronounced forms.
The bedroom is anticipated and separated by a filter space, obtained by contrasting the Reflection mirror with painted bronze structure with the practicality and functionality of the Porro storage system, contained by glass walls.
This is an expedient that also enables the passage to be exploited, making it captivating and visually extending it through the reflection.
Finally, in the living area, the System NXT modifiable bookcase stands out through its dimensions and sheer presence.
Characterised by the typical open shelves that make it a classic, indispensable piece of furniture, for both the home and the working environment, it is also available in natural carbone oak, with a stepladder structure that enables the upper shelves to be reached more easily.
The table is P.04, with carbone oak top and polished aluminium legs, surrounded by elegant Como wood and leather chairs: a composition that is ideal both for an imposing dining room and for a warmer, more familiar meeting room.
Thanks to its extraordinary capacity to establish a dialogue with various contexts, it is no coincidence that P.04 has been chosen by Piero Lissoni to be part of Homework, the new Porro collection dedicated to the office, which adapts products conceived for a domestic use to working or management environments.
Along with the systems, pieces from the other Porro collections complete the layout and make it more informal: these include the sophisticated Nouvelle Vague chaise longue designed by Christophe Pillet, capable of distinguishing a space thanks to its sinuous, enveloping profile, and the fun Truffle seat by Jean Marie Massaud, proposed here in the elegant colour black.
Thanks to their highly characterised forms, these products not only interact in perfect harmony with the rest of Porro's production range, but also combine well with all types of environment, from the more essential and rigorous to the more eclectic and decorative.
