As part of a busy schedule of events over the next few months that will land in major American cities - from New York to Chicago, from San Francisco to Miami - Porro will make a stop in Los Angeles on 17 September for an evening completely dedicated to its art director, Piero Lissoni.
One of the most prolific designers, graphic designers and architects on the world stage, Lissoni will meet with local architects, journalists and design enthusiasts at Graye, both Porro’s long-time retailer on Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood and they city’s reference point for sophisticated and contemporary lifestyle.
The program will include a roundtable discussion with Maria Cicione, creative director of Graye, Tibbie Dunbar, executive director of A+D Musuem, and Carlo Caccavale, director of the AIA American Institute of Architects of Los Angeles. Jennifer Polachek, Angeleno Associate publisher and Interiors California publisher, will moderate the debate, which will be followed by a cocktail party eloquently set up within the showroom, among the items the designer produced for both Porro and Living Divani, the two complementary manufacturing companies from Italy, who best reflect his simple and refined style, mutually able to meet the many demands of home décor.
If the Porro systems articulate the proposed settings by ensuring their functionality, the Porro collections for the living and sleeping areas alternate between Living Divani’s upholsteries in the creation of new and complete home solutions, characterized by high quality in both design and taste.
