Porro strengthens its presence in London by presenting its collection in the new Staffan Tollgård Design Store, opening its doors on the tranquil docks of Grosvenor Waterside, Chelsea on September the 12th.
Some of Porro’s best sellers and the best contemporary design brands will be showcased in the light-filled 3500 square foot design store, designed to provide the client with a new retail experience: personalized, calm and complete. The selected pieces tell the story of their makers, the materials used and their provenance: excellence in design and in the journey from the designer to the end client.
It is in this atmosphere that Porro’s products find their place in the showcase: increasingly versatile and functional systems for living and bedroom areas, as well as elegant furnishing accessories. Among the showcased products is a Storage composition. This consists of a modular system for the bedroom area created to shelter and display clothes, through the effortless transformation from wardrobe to walk-in closet. The second important element is Modern, a system of containers and shelving for the living room, here presented in the wall-mounted composition that provides the living space with a greater geometric rigour. Finally, the low Tiller sideboard, the Balancing Boxes side tables, the Refelection mirror and the precious Ex-Libris bookcase, complete Porro’s offer. Tiller’s most interesting features lies in its hinged eucalyptus doors which open onto each other creating additional, varying shapes in the frontal design, while Ex-Libris owes its success to its extreme lightness, given by the fact that both shelves and back and side panels are all in transparent glass. Staffan Tollgård Design Store is located just behind Pimlico Road and brings a new wave of contemporary brands to this historic design district, opening just before the London Design Festival.
