Porro is among the partner companies of BE ORIGINAL WEEK, an initiative promoted by Elle Decor Italia for the defense of intellectual property rights in design.

From the 22^nd to the 28^th of October, an entire week dedicated to the protection of industrial design rights that has lit up the city of Milan in order to raise awareness among consumers so that they can make informed purchases.
For the whole week, eight display windows at la Rinascente in Piazza Duomo have hosted an installation of 21 design objects within a special display organized by Elle Decor Italia: among the iconic pieces proposed, the table FERRO designed by Piero Lissoni  for Porro in 1994.

The exhibition at la Rinascente  visually represent the BE ORIGINAL CATALOGUE – an online catalogue dedicated to original pieces through which the consumer can be informed of the identity and the originality of a project. The company along with the editors of Elle Decor Italia has decided to present a novelty as the cupboard Mikado by Front and NEVE chair designed by Lissoni in 2010.
Furthermore, each evening inside la Rinascente and in the BE ORIGINAL partner company stores who are part of the initiative, internationally renowned designers and entrepreneurs exchanging in a series of events dedicated to stories of original design.

The program has included Lorenzo Porro talk “FROM THE BOX TO THE ROOM. The evolution of the wardrobe” at the Porro showroom [DURINIQUINDICI] in Milan.

By registering on the website of Be Original Week until November the  9th, there is the possibility to buy one of the products selected by the companies with a 20% discount: Porro proposes Gentle chair, design Front.
